A Service Centre

In an economy and market that is characterised by increasingly fast and frequent changes, businesses are faced with more and more difficult challenges.
One of the main problems that a constantly changing market poses businesses, particularly small and medium-sized ones, is the difficulty in acquiring the conceptual and technological tools needed to deal successfully with changing market and manufacturing conditions.
The economy of Parabiago and indeed of the entire North-Milanese area, is based mainly on small and medium-sized businesses.
For this reason, the Parabiago Town Council decided to use the European Structural Fund (Objective 2, Sempione Road), to refurbish Villa Corvini, a prestigious property in the city centre which has been empty for years on account of its state of disrepair to provide the city and North-Milanese area with a Service Centre for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses.
The main objectives of the Service Centre for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses are to provide local businesses with back-up in the following areas:

  • marketing products
  • entrepreneurial and professional training
  • technology transfers

Today, Villa Corvini and the Service Centre it houses can offer local business the services of specialised associations in a variety of fields. As a result of agreements with the Parabiago Town Council, which is also the current proprietor of Villa Corvini, the following associations are part of the Service Centre:

Besides the Service Centre for Small and Medium Sized Businesses, Villa Corvini is also home to other local welfare associations and is due to house the Information Centre (Sportello Unico) for businesses. Since EC funding does not cover welfare projects, the cost of renovating these parts of the building is being borne by the Parabiago Town Council.
